Fine Ceramics Hotelware Cutlery Crystal Linen Gifts

Ceramics is a general term describing objects produced by using a variation of clay. Originally produced in China (hence use of the term 'China' to describe ceramic tableware), the 18th Century saw the advent of ceramic tableware production in Europe. It was here that the development of 'Bone China' began; by mixing clay with animal bone ash, a lighter and more translucent ceramic body could be achieved.

Crown Lynn have taken ceramic production to a new level by developing 'equivalent Bone China' (e-Bone), a clay mixture identical to 'Bone China' which substitutes animal bone ash for chemical proteins. This ensures that not only are our products humane and ethically produced, but are also safe for our Muslim consumers.

Crown Lynn ceramics today are only available in e-Bone and fine porcelain to ensure all wares are suitable for up-market dining, hence the term 'Fine Ceramics'.
